Casting Token

The Casting Token used by the magi of Insula Canaria to invite guests into the protection of the Aegis of the Hearth.

The token is about one inch (2½ cm) across, is made of latten, and is not colored. What is shown in black in the picture is relief. The covenant usually has a good supply of active tokens (between a dozen and two dozen); they are kept in a cask in the Council Hall.

The traditional verbiage used to invite guests is: "(name, using the full Hermetic name if known or appropriate), I invite you to enjoy the protection of our Aegis."
