Niseag, more commonly known as the Loch Ness Monster, is a creature of the Magic realm that inhabits the cold and murky waters of the loch. Rarely seen, and even more rarely encountered, Niseag has been an integral part of the covenant since its founding in 1143, as the eggs she lays every year are a major Vis course for Insula Canaria.

In appearance, she vaguely resembles a large, shell-less turtle about 25 feet (7.6m) long and 4 feet (1.2) high, with a 12-foot-long (4m) serpentine neck, four flippers, a long whip-like tail at least as long as the neck, and three humps running down her back.

Niseag is known to have a Magic Might of 30, and is believed to have inhabited the loch since at least the days of Saint Columba in the mid-sixth century.
