River Ness

The River Ness (Abhainn Nis) flows from Loch Ness north to Inverness and the Moray Firth. The river flows through Inverness, and fishermen can often be seen casting for salmon. Seals are often seen, as are herons, bats, house martins and diving birds.

The mean depth of the River Ness is about 13 feet, or 4 meters, on average.
